Anxiety

Anxiety is a normal, biological, body and mental response to the stress. The anxious feeling starts in Amygdala (part of the brain) that controls the intensity of the emotional experience. It automatically triggers fear response. Amygdala in anxious people is over reactive. When Anxiety becomes chronic it might start being damaging to the mental and physical health.

Statistics show that 1 out of 3 people will develop anxiety over their life span, with prevalence to woman. 

Anxiety Symptoms

There are many anxiety symptoms depending on each individuals. Anxiousness can trigger emotional states as well as affect the body. While the specific symptoms might vary from person to person, in general you might experience:

  • Nervousness, inability to rest, feeling of tension
  • Inability to control
  • Feeling that something bad will happen
  • Tightness in the body, mostly in chest, throat, shoulders
  • rapid heart rate
  • inability to breathe in the relaxed way, feeling that someone chokes, or sits on the chest
  • sweating
  • uncontrollable body shakes, trembling
  • weakness
  • inability to focus
  • unable to sleep, or to relax
  • mind relentlessly active
  • hyper activity
  • lethargy
  • stomach problems, gas, constipation, diarrhea
  • Obsessive thinking 
  • Coming back to the same triggering thought, feeling, emotion, memory

There are many natural ways of decreasing the levels of Anxiety, including:

  • Physical activities (exercise, walking, swimming etc.)

Recognizing the Anxiety

Coach through active and intuitive abilities listens carefully where the Anxiety is located and looks for reasons why the Anxiety occurs at the first place. Together the client and the coach work consciously to learn more about the specific anxiety and the relationship the client build with the symptoms of the anxiety. They look for “messages”. The Body possesses enormous wisdom and nothing inside of it doesn’t happen without a reason. 

Creating New Relationship 

We react in the same mental way in all anxious episodes. The individual that experiences anxiety can easily recognize it and step by step describe the body’s reaction to stress. By working with the Holistic Coach, a client will learn a healthier way of reacting to the stressor. For example, instead of writing negative results, the client will learn how to visualize positive, or neutral outcomes. This helps in strengthening and cultivating non-reactive states of the mind.

Mindfulness  

Anxiety is often triggered by the fear and expectation that something bad will happen. One of the most powerful ways of overcoming the anxiety is choosing to become conscious. Individuals that practice mindfulness, meditation and conscious breathing, engage in strengthening Body and Mind connection – experience much less stress. It’s also scientifically proven that amygdala of the individuals who meditate is shrunk and less-reactive.

Startig with initial conversation/assessmet we will have an opportunity to gain understanding and goals.  In addition, we will be able to answer any of your questions. With your best interests in mind, you will decide together what next steps to take.

At the end of your first session, if you decide to move forward and work with Life Coach, you will be asked to schedule further appointments.
