What is Expressive Arts?

Expressive Arts is a set of arts including visual arts, body movement, drama, music, sounds, writing, drawing that aid in process of self-expression. It could be  offered in variety of settings. Expressive arts is based on the mindful awareness with no judgment. You can simply connect the Mind to the inner felt sense (emotion, feeling) felt within the body and express it out, release it in the process. There is no need to have any experience, just keep being open, friendly and curious to what comes. This beautiful process is clarifying, empowering and connecting. 

Roots of Expressive Arts come from different studies, traditions, theories. It could be very modern – yet filled with beautiful ancient practices. I like to imagine how long time ago, women and men gathered in ceremonies, creating spiritual rituals, for healing, health, abundance, manifestation. They sang, danced, drummed, drew images and celebrated life, relationships and each other. We can tap to that part within us that is connected to the deep sense of bodily knowing and bring it forward. We can let go through expressive arts, all the past things that no longer serve us through building connection between Mind and Bod

Who is it for?

Expressive Arts are for everybody! There is no age restrictions. To be back into the state of full allowance is very healing and allowing ourselves to get to that place is priceless. No matter if you are 1 or 101 years old + no experience needed.

Why use Expressive Arts?

There are moments in our lives that we are looking for a way to help ourselves. maybe we struggle with emotions, or some kind of old beliefs, old stories are preventing us from growing. Expressive arts connect Body & Mind, it let’s you get in touch with these emotions that are hard to handle, or that you would like to have more in life. 

It’s a beautiful, filled with mindfulness process work.  

How does Expressive Arts session look like?

There are Group and Individual sessions available. Most of the times group sessions have a theme, for example working with Manifestation, building self-esteem, empowerment etc.

Private sessions:

We start with time to tune in and feel what needs your attention in the moment of session. I will guide you through that with my voice and you will be able to drop into the relaxed state to feel yourself on the inside. Then whatever comes, you will be able to express it through the picture (drawing, collage), writing (journalling, drawing a message), sound (drumming, voicing), gesture (body movement, drama, improv). We will talk about the connection, dialoging and incorporating deepening, life coaching techniques to help you work through the issue. Usually because of the holistic approach to Connect Body & Mind, issues are solved very quickly. 

We can work on any issue, negative self talk, negative beliefs, bringing up your creativity, working with self esteem, creating and manifesting.
